Bow Season

Greetings! It is September, and that means archery season is in full tilt. It didn’t take us long to put an animal on the ground with a great bull moose.
Elk are starting to rut, and so are the moose — not to mention the wily antelope! Archery season is arguably the best time to be chasing four-legged critters to fill our freezers and our bellies. Warm days and cool nights (minus the extreme heat) help keep the mosquitoes away, and hunting pressure isn’t as crazy as rifle season.
Carrying a stick and string, you’re more likely to get permission from landowners. And the ratio of animals that are rutting versus rifle season is greater. That’s not to say a spot-and-stalk opportunity won’t present itself — but it’s hard to pull away from the bugles of a big bull elk to pursue a bedded buck in a meadow.
Regardless of your weapon or season of choice, we are your trusted outfitter to help you get on game and raise the bar for success. We hope you all have a safe and successful season in 2025. Take care!
